Cook Islands join global call for urgent action on climate change at UNESCO Youth Forum

Rarotonga, Cook Islands, 30 November 2023 - The Cook Islands participated in the 13th edition of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) Youth Forum, which took place from 13 to 15 November 2023 at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France.

The Cook Islands participated in the Forum through Foreign Service Officer of the Pacific, Regional and Affairs Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration (MFAI), Tatryanna Utanga.

Cook Islands participate in UNESCO 42nd General Conference

Rarotonga, Cook Islands, 29 November 2023 - The Cook Islands participated in the 42nd session of the General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), which took place from 7 to 22 November 2023, at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

The Cook Islands participated through Permanent Delegate and Cook Islands Ambassador to UNESCO, Dr Nathalie Rossette-Cazel, Foreign Service Officer Tatryanna Utanga, and Secretary of Education Danielle Cochrane, with Ambassador Rossette-Cazel heading the delegation.

Cook Islands participate in UNESCO Executive Council’s 217th Session

Rarotonga, Cook Islands, 18 October 2023 - The Cook Islands participated in the 217th Session of the Executive Council of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO) which took place from 4 – 18 October 2023, at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.

The Cook Islands was represented through Permanent Delegate and Cook Islands Ambassador to UNESCO since 2017, Her Excellency Dr Nathalie Rossette-Cazel, who was the only Pacific representation among the Executive Council’s 58 Member States.
