Ambassador-designates from the Kingdom of Belgium, Hungary and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will visit Rarotonga next week to present their Letters of Credence to King's Representative, His Excellency Sir Tom Marsters, during a ceremony facilitated by Te Kauono Tutara e te Mana Tiaki – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration (MFAI).
Ambassador-designates include His Excellency Mr Michel Golfin, Ambassador-designate for the Kingdom of Belgium, resident in Canberra; His Excellency Dr Zsolt Gabor Hetesy, Ambassador-designate for Hungary, resident in Wellington; and His Excellency Mr Muhanna Aba Alkhail, Ambassador-designate for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, resident in Wellington.
Upon presenting their Letters of Credence to King's Representative, His Excellency Sir Tom Marsters, all Ambassador-designates are able to engage officially with representatives of the Cook Islands Government.
During their visit, all three Ambassador-designates will call on MFAI Secretary Tepaeru Herrmann and the Minister of Foreign Affairs & Immigration the Hon. Tingika Elikana. They will also meet with select government, business, and civil society representatives depending on areas of co-operation interest for the Cook Islands and the counterpart country.Top of Form
