Honorary consuls support the Cook Islands’ overseas network in an official, limited diplomatic capacity. Their local knowledge and relationships help maintain connections beyond our resident offices.
Their role
Honorary consuls help promote trade, tourism and cultural ties. They can also provide an initial point of contact for Cook Islanders overseas. This work supports the Ministry’s wider commitment to strong international relationships and engagement with our communities abroad.
Contact an honorary consul
For the appropriate honorary consular contact, contact Foreign Affairs. Include the country concerned and a brief description of your enquiry so it can be directed appropriately.
For contact details of our offices in Wellington, Auckland and Suva, use the overseas missions directory.
Help in an emergency
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first. For Ministry assistance overseas, see Consular Assistance.
